The Legal Intern will provide support to the Legal and Compliance team in day-to-day legal and regulatory operations.
The role involves assisting in legal research, documentation, compliance monitoring, contract review, and other legal administrative activities.
This position is ideal for law students seeking hands-on experience in corporate law, regulatory compliance, and the fintech industry.
Conduct basic legal research on Philippine laws, regulations, and regulatory requirements.
Assist in drafting, reviewing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents, contracts, agreements, and correspondence.
Organize and maintain physical and electronic legal files and records.
Retrieve and compile legal documents and information as requested by the Legal & Compliance team.
Assist in monitoring regulatory requirements, deadlines, and government submissions.
Support compliance activities related to data privacy, AML, consumer protection, and financial regulations.
Maintain compliance trackers, licenses, permits, and other regulatory records.
Assist in preparing supporting documents for regulatory filings and submissions.
Assist with corporate governance documentation, including resolutions and other corporate records.
Support document signing, meetings, and other legal-related activities.
Coordinate with internal teams and external parties on legal and compliance documentation, as needed.
Provide administrative and operational support to the Legal & Compliance team.
Perform other legal-related duties and tasks as assigned.
Currently pursuing a Juris Doctor (JD) or Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree.
Strong interest in corporate law, legal compliance, financial regulations, data privacy, or fintech.
Strong legal research and analytical skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Good organizational and time-management skills.
Proactive, willing to learn, and able to work independently.
Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and Google Workspace.
Previous legal internship or relevant experience is an advantage but not required.
Duration: 3 months or until completion of 300–500 hours, depending on the school’s requirements.
Allowance: Internship allowances will be provided.
Schedule: Interns are expected to be in the office for 2–3 days per week.
