Role Overview
Dashlabs.ai is seeking a data-driven and detail-oriented Data Intern to convert raw data into actionable business insights. The intern will support business intelligence initiatives by developing and maintaining interactive dashboards and improving data-reporting processes. This role is suited to students interested in data storytelling and applying SQL and Looker/Data Studio skills to real business challenges.
Responsibilities
- Develop, build, and maintain automated dashboards in Looker (Looker Studio/Google Data Studio) for monitoring KPIs and business performance.
- Create and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from multiple databases, including BigQuery and PostgreSQL.
- Produce clear visualizations of complex data sets for non-technical stakeholders.
- Help clean and validate data sets to maintain reporting accuracy and integrity.
- Assist with detailed analyses of business issues as needed.
- Find ways to automate manual reporting workflows through tools such as Google Sheets or scheduled SQL scripts.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Information Technology, or another related quantitative field.
- Fundamental to intermediate SQL knowledge, including joins, subqueries, and aggregations.
- Academic or project-based hands-on experience with Looker Studio, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel, including Pivot tables and VLOOKUPs.
- Strong analytical ability to connect data points and turn numbers into narratives.
- Able to communicate technical findings in a clear and concise manner.
OJT Requirements
- Must currently be enrolled in a university program requiring On-the-Job Training (OJT) or an internship for graduation.
- Must be able to submit a School Endorsement Letter and coordinate the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Dashlabs.ai and the educational institution.
- Must be willing to complete the number of required hours set by the school curriculum, such as 200–600 hours.
