Role overview

The Business Development Intern will support Springboard Philippines in identifying and developing new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, markets, and client relationships.

Responsibilities include:

  • Research potential clients, partners, industries, and emerging market opportunities
  • Identify companies, decision-makers, and organizations relevant to Springboard’s business development initiatives
  • Conduct market, industry, competitor, and account research
  • Support the development of new partnerships and strategic business relationships
  • Assist in evaluating potential business opportunities and new service offerings
  • Prepare company profiles, presentations, proposals, concept notes, and other business development materials
  • Support outreach and coordination with prospective clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Participate in meetings, discovery sessions, industry events, and partnership discussions when applicable
  • Document meetings, business requirements, opportunities, and recommended next steps
  • Maintain business development trackers, pipelines, and contact databases
  • Coordinate with internal teams in developing solutions and proposals for prospective clients and partners
  • Support special projects, market-entry initiatives, events, and other growth opportunities

The intern may gain exposure to Springboard Philippines’ businesses and projects across recruitment and staffing, HR services, technology, software development, AI and automation, cybersecurity, cloud, digital services, professional services, and other emerging business opportunities.


Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in Business, Entrepreneurship, Management, Marketing, Economics, Finance, Communications, IT, Computer Science, or a related program
  • Strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Able to organize information and translate research into actionable business insights
  • Comfortable preparing presentations, spreadsheets, reports, and business documents
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
  • Resourceful and comfortable researching unfamiliar industries, companies, and business models
  • Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple assignments
  • Comfortable communicating and coordinating with professionals and external stakeholders
  • Able to work independently while collaborating with different internal teams
  • Strong interest in entrepreneurship, business strategy, partnerships, technology, or business development
  • Previous experience in student organizations, startups, sales, consulting, research, or business development is an advantage but not required
