The Finance and Accounting Interns supports the finance team with day-to-day financial operations, data analysis, and reporting. This role is ideal for students or recent graduates seeking practical experience in accounting, financial analysis, and corporate finance.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a BS Accountancy (BSA), BS Accounting Information Systems (BSAIS), and BS Management Accounting or a related program.
- Preferably a 3rd or 4th-year student.
- Strong interest in law, legal research, government regulations, and corporate compliance.
- Technical & Financial Focus: Emphasized fundamental accounting principles, financial statements, bookkeeping concepts, and corporate finance.
- Taxation & Regulatory Emphasis: Highlighted familiarity with Philippine tax processes (BIR), statutory filing/compliance (SEC, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG), and corporate government filings.
- Software Skills: Added emphasis on Advanced MS Excel skills and financial formulas.
- Precision & Professional Integrity: Tailored key skills around handling sensitive corporate financial records, numerical accuracy, and audit-readiness.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Willing to learn and work in a professional environment.
- Open to voluntary internships, including students who are not required by their school to complete an internship.
- Willing to report onsite at the Emerhub office three (3) times per week. (Office Location: Unit 710, High Street South Corporate Plaza, Tower 2, 26th Street corner 11th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City, Taguig City)
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Support accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Analyze financial data and identify trends or discrepancies.
- Maintain financial records and update databases.
- Help with monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
- Conduct research on market trends and financial performance.
- Assist in audits and compliance documentation.
- Prepare presentations and summaries for management.
